Sri Ananta Temple
The Sri Ananta Temple has unique architecture. The roof of the temple is made of tiles in the shape of a pyramid and has a rustic charm to it. You not able to pinpoint any domes embellishing the temple. The walls of the temple are not painted and have been plastered. But inside the temple, a lovely sight awaits the visitors. The inside walls of the temple contain many photos and statues of gods and goddesses.
Most of them are made of wood and created in a riot of colour including all the colours of the rainbow. The photo of Lord Ananta is organised out of black stone and represents a noteworthy avatar of the lord. The Sri Ananta Temple organizes many festivals and fairs. All the ardent devotees throng the temple and celebrate the Shibikotsav. This festival is of best importance. Here the Lord is placed in a Palkhi and the pilgrims carry this Palkhi. After covering a certain distance, the Palkhi is brought behind to the temple.The Sri Ananta Temple is at a distance of nearly 45 km from Panaji. You can come to the temple either by public or private transport. The temple is surely worth a visit and a trip to this temple will certainly make your trip more memorable.
