Fame of the lake has ultimately increased with the introduction of the boating facilities at the lake. For lodging purposes GTDC has constructed cottages within the precincts of the lake.

The main accommodation within the precincts of the lake is the Tourist lake Cottages on the Lake itself, operated by the GTDC.
